TRAVEL BASKETBALL PROGRAM IN NORTHEAST OHIO
Coach Gi Gi is a passionate and experienced basketball coach with 12 years in the field. Originally from Michigan, she discovered her passion for the game at an early age, beginning her playing journey in the 3rd grade continuing throughout her high school years and into some college. Coach Gi Gi's background as a player gives her a unique perspective on coaching, allowing her to connect with athletes and elevate their skills. She has made a significant impact on young athletes through her coaching at various levels. Her coaching philosophy emphasizes skill development, fosters growth, teamwork, and sportsmanship, which has resulted in numerous successes for her teams.
In 2018, Gi Gi relocated to Ohio, where she took on the role of head coach for the 5th-8th grade team at Menlo Park Academy. During her two seasons there, she not only guided the team to the playoffs but also secured a championship title, further cementing her reputation as a talented and effective coach. In 2021, Gi Gi began a new chapter by founding her own company, Unlocked Potential LLC. Through this initiative, she empowers youth by promoting an "I Can" philosophy, fostering leadership skills, and teaching essential basketball fundamentals. Her commitment to developing well-rounded student athletes goes beyond just the game, as she strives to instill confidence and resilience in her players.
Gigi has worked with both the boy’s and girl’s divisions. She volunteered her time as a Junior Cavs coach at the Lakewood YMCA for the past two years. Coach Gi Gi is currently coaching with the Cavs Youth Sports, teaching within the Cavs Academy. For the past year, Coach Gi Gi has been with LTB where she continues to inspire and guide students on their personal and athletic journeys. With her unique blend of coaching experience and motivational techniques, Coach Gi Gi is dedicated to unlocking the potential within each young athlete.
